SameTeam was created by Mike and Angel Denker in 2005 as the result of their home bible study teachings. Realizing that, just like football, marriage takes effort, training and a winning attitude, they set about to write a book that would interest husbands as well as wives. With football as their frame of reference, men and women can feel comfortable reading and experiencing interaction in a small group atmosphere. As an NFL cheerleader for the Miami Dolphins, Angel learned a lot about football and teamwork. She and Mike have incorporated their mutual love of the game and of the Bible to make interesting, relatable situations that many married couples share. Their mission is to use the Bible as the playbook, God as their coach, and the couple as players on the "same team."

The SameTeam approach reminds married couples that when issues come up they are not two adversaries trying to attack and rule over each other, but that they are on the "same team" with common goals. Learning how to work together in love and shared agreement is the key to a lasting and successful marriage.

Our Mission Statement:   To strengthen and inspire families so that they will strengthen and inspire other families through the Holy Spirit, the Word of God, the Body of Christ, and the saving grace of Jesus.
